In addition to earning praise by The New York Times for her performance in her latest film Walkaway, Deepti Gupta is also a well known name in the Pakistani TV industry. She has an international career spread across India, Singapore, Pakistan and the United States. She earned her MFA in Acting from University of Texas at Austin. In her six successful years in New York City she appeared in several plays including the Off- Broadway production of Ivanov produced by NAATCO and Mint Theatre for which she received glowing reviews. She currently resides in Los Angeles, splitting her time between there and New York City. Some of the American TV shows she has been seen in are Fringe (FOX), Third Watch (NBC), Kidnapped (NBC), and Knights of Prosperity (ABC). In Pakistan she is well known for her work in Maaney Na Yeh Dil, Ishq Junoon Deewangi, Malaal and others. The summer of 2011 brings two of her TV serials on air in Pakistan- Neeyat and Mastana Mahi. Besides acting she also works as a Voice talent and diversity consultant. In her new role as a producer, she is co-producing a low budget indie feature based on an Off Broadway show, Umbrella.
